Q: Am I registered to vote?
Check our online voter registration database...it’s confidential and fast.

Q: How do I register to vote? (or re-register)
If you’re 18, a citizen and felony-free...register to vote! The deadline is October 20 to vote in the Presidential General Election.

Q: Where’s my polling place?
Double-check the address of your precinct—over 60 precincts moved last year!

Q: How do I sign up to Vote by Mail?
Sign-up online or mail back the form on the back of your Sample Ballot.

Q: How do you vote on the eSlate?
Watch the eSlate video or read the eSlate written instructions. It’s simple and straightforward. The eSlate works a little like an iPod. Don’t worry. Poll workers will show you how to use the eSlate on Election Day if you need help.

Q: When can I vote?
Between October 6 and November 4, any voter can go in person to the Election Offices at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo or 555 County Center (1st floor) in Redwood City, except holidays, for the Statewide Direct Primary Election. Both offices are open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and set up for voting. The polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Q: What if I lose my vote by mail ballot?
Come into either of the Election Offices (above), fill out a form swearing that you lost it, and a new one will be issued to you for voting. Our records will be flagged to show that you’ve voted.
