Follow a Bill!

Bills that pass committees are then read a second and third time to the Senate. The second reading helps Senators remember the bill and think more about it before the third reading. Once a bill is read the third time, the author of the bill, in this case Senator Speier, explains it and the Senators discuss the bill. After the discussion, the Senators vote.
