Deadline to File Primary Arguments in favor of or against
Brisbane School District Parcel Tax Measure

10-Day Public Review to Follow

 

 

(Redwood City, CA) Chief Elections Officer Mark Church announced that the deadline to file Primary Arguments in favor of and against the April 10, 2012 Special Election for the Brisbane School District Parcel Tax measure is 5 p.m. on January 20th. At that time, the 10-day public review period for primary arguments will open until 5 p.m. on Monday, January 30th.

 

“The purpose of this 10-day public review period is to allow the public an opportunity to review the primary arguments submitted for publication in the Sample Ballot & Official Voter Information Pamphlet,” said Mark Church, Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder. During the 10-day public review period, any voter of the jurisdiction in which the election is being held, or the appropriate elections official, may seek a writ of mandate (an injunction) requiring any or all of the materials to be amended or deleted. The Writ of Mandate request shall be filed no later than the end of the review period. 

 

The ballot questions, text of the measures, impartial analyses prepared by the County Counsel’s Office, the arguments in favor and against, the rebuttal arguments in favor and against, roster of candidates and related materials are published on the Elections web site, at www.shapethefuture.org, as soon as it is permissible by law.
